The Role of Positive Psychology

It is not the job of Positive Psychology to tell you that you should be optimistic, or spiritual, or kind or good-humored; it is rather to describe the consequences of these traits.
For example, that being optimistic brings about less depression, better physical health, and higher achievement.
What you do with that information depends on your own values and goals.
